Alexandria Moon

1944 Jeep

Alexandria, Virginia, is a beautiful city and the dappling moonlight makes it even more so. This photo was taken from a Landmark high-rise looking east. Interstate 395 cuts through the center of the photograph with Old Town Alexandria as the bright spot on the far right.

● 22” x 12”—$200 (unframed)

1944 U.S. Army Jeep

1944 Jeep

This is a beautiful photograph of a fully restored 1944 U.S. Army Jeep. It looks as if it just rolled off the assembly line ready for service with the 1st Cavalry in the World War II Pacific Theatre. The corner insets provide splendid views of the front and back of the Jeep.

● 22” x 12”—$200 (unframed)

Jet Shadow

Jet Shadow

When the wind is from the west, jets come down the Potomac River and across Gravelly Point Park to land at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. This photo of a jet shadow was taken looking across the park with the Washington Monument visible across the river.

Capturing this image was no mean task ... those jets were traveling at approximately 250 knots as they buzzed the park on their landing approach. After standing on a picnic table for over an hour, I managed to get the picture I imagined ... the park was deserted, the Washington Monument was clearly visible and the sky was cloudless ... the only down-side was the incredibly loud jet engines as they passed 100 feet overhead.

● 22” x 12”—$200 (unframed)

This photograph is also available in a 7.5” x 4” format and looks very distinctive in an 8” x 6” frame.

● 7.5” x 4”—$40 (unframed)
